Yankees acquire Brignac (Updated, 12:42 p.m.)

CBS’ Jon Heyman reporting the Yankees have acquired utility infielder Reid Brignac from the Rockies. Brignac was designated for assignment by the Rockies earlier this week. He was let go by the Rays earlier this spring.

No word yet on what the Yankees sent to Colorado in return.

Granderson to make first career start in RF

Yankees GM Brian Cashman just announced that Andy Pettitte is being placed on the 15-day DL with a strained trap. “We don"t think it"s overly serious, but we want to play it safe, so we"re going to bring (Vidal) Nuno back,” Cashman said.
