After six months since it was announced that Disney-owned indie distributor Miramax would be shutting down and getting sold off, we finally have an official sale. Miramax Films was sold to Filmyard Holdings LLC today for over $660 million subject to certain adjustments.

Disney announced yesterday that they have sold Miramax Films to Filmyard Holdings LLC - and its partners Ron Tutor and Tom Barrack - for a whopping $660 million!
The deal should go through sometime between September and January of 2011.
