Jack Dorsey's little card reader that could TM has made its first journey beyond continental North America, and is now available in Japan. In order to make the leap, Square has teamed up with Sumitomo Mitsui Card Corporation, the business that introduced Visa to the country.

It will continue to offer Google Wallet and handle transactions for apps, games, music, and movies on the Google Play store.
